Assessment of Pollution by Heavy Metals in the Water and Sediment of Al-Khosur River Bed

The study was conducted on Al-Khosur River basin passing through the city of Mosul from waterfalls region to its confluence with Tigris at Old Bridge. Six sites were selected along river. Water and sediment samples collected there. carried out laboratories University, period September 2021 A.D. May 2022 concentrations heavy metals (lead, cadmium zinc), in water measured quarterly. results indicated that had highest fourth site three elements Pb, Cd Zn, which amounted (0.64, 0.62 0.49) mg/L, respectively.
